Ukraine’s President Speaks Out About Georgia and Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed his concerns about the situation in Georgia. In a recent interview with US television channel CBN, he said that the West has not done enough to stop Russia’s efforts to control the country.
Zelenskyy believes that Moscow created a “frozen conflict” in Georgia to prevent it from joining the European Union and NATO. He claims that Russia did the same thing in Ukraine and Moldova. The President of Ukraine is worried about the influence Russia has over Georgia, saying that the Georgian government is now under Russian control.
Zelenskyy said that Georgia officially rejected EU integration and is now ruled by oligarchs who have ties to Moscow. He thinks that the US and EU should be taking stronger action against Russian influence in the country. The President of Ukraine praised the youth and students who are protesting in Georgia, saying they want to live in a peaceful European country.
However, Zelenskyy is not impressed with the actions taken by the West so far. He said that he does not see any strong measures being taken by the US or EU to stop Russian influence.
