Despite their own progress, Russian forces are suffering heavy casualties. According to reports, nearly 3,000 Russian personnel have been killed or injured over the past two weeks in the Pokrovsk area.
**Daily Attacks**
The situation is critical for Ukrainian forces. A battalion commander in the Pokrovsk area described the situation as “critical” due to the high number of attacks they are facing each day. The Russians are using artillery to gain an advantage, making it difficult for Ukrainian forces to hold their positions.
**Russian Resupply**
However, Russian forces have a significant advantage when it comes to resupplying their troops. Each battalion-sized formation receives around 200 fresh personnel monthly. This allows them to maintain a strong presence on the battlefield.
