**European Union Supports Georgian Protest**
The European Parliament is fully supporting the people of Georgia and those who are protesting against the government. This was stated by Giorgi Vashadze, a leader of the “Unity – National Movement” coalition.
Vashadze met with European parliamentarians and reported on their mood. He said that they are supportive and willing to help Georgia return to its path towards Europe. The EU is also calling for the release of political prisoners.
**Three Demands from the EU**
The European Union has made three main demands:
1. Immediate release of all prisoners, including those who were detained during protests.
2. The government should not be allowed to continue arresting people while negotiations are ongoing with the EU.
3. The EU wants to see concrete actions from the Georgian government, such as reforming the election administration and depoliticizing the police.
**Support for Re-elections**
Vashadze believes that re-elections are the way forward for Georgia. He says that this is the only way to end the chaos caused by the current government.
**Ivanishvili’s Regime Criticized**
The coalition leader also criticized the regime of Bidzina Ivanishvili, saying that they continue to arrest people despite promises made during a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron.
