**Ukraine Builds Underground Hospital**
Russia’s attacks on medical facilities in Ukraine have led to the construction of an underground surgical unit in Zaporizhzhia. The hospital can handle four surgeries at a time and treat 200 patients daily.
**A Safe Place for Medical Care**
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the underground frontline surgical unit and highlighted its success. The team has saved over 1,000 lives since it opened. “Here, medics treat wounded soldiers directly from the battlefield and provide them with medical care,” he said.
**Modern Equipment and Facilities**
The hospital is equipped with modern medical equipment and can accommodate up to 200 patients daily. It not only stabilizes injured soldiers but also has the capacity to perform four surgeries simultaneously.
