**People’s Power Party Leaves Parliamentary Majority**
The “People’s Power” party in Georgia has left the parliamentary majority. This move will create a healthy opposition in the country, said Guram Macharashvili, a deputy of the party.
According to Macharashvili, the party made this decision because there is no real opposition in Georgia. Instead, there is a “radical” opposition that does not help the country progress. He added that the current government is funded by foreign forces and that the “People’s Power” party wants to show the people what a healthy opposition should be.
**Why Did the Party Leave?**
The “People’s Power” party had previously been part of the parliamentary majority, but they left 2.5 years ago when they disagreed with the “Georgian Dream” party on certain issues. They have now repeated this move and are joining the opposition to create a healthy opposition in Georgia.
**Parliament Supports Decision**
The Parliament supported the initiative of the “People’s Power” party and quickly approved changes to allow them to create a new political group. This is an exception, as parliamentary groups were only for members of previous convocations.
