The Ukrainian Embassy in Israel is calling an investigation and accountability after vandals targeted the Ukrainian cultural center in Tel Aviv with provocative leaflets.

According to a Facebook post by the embassy, the premises were covered with posters showing a blood-handed soldier with an flag patch. The text on the posters read “Not only is an occupier” in Ukrainian.

The embassy accused Russian terrorists of trying to spread destructiveness and cause discord between Ukrainians and Israelis. They linked the incident to Russian destabilization efforts, saying that the Kremlin is trying to regain influence in the region by any means necessary.

An investigation is currently underway, with enforcement agencies involved. The embassy hopes that authorities will identify and take action against those responsible for the vandalism.

The Ukrainian Embassy reaffirmed Ukraine’s support for Israel’s to self- and of its population and territories. They emphasized that Russian provocateurs would not succeed in sowing discord between Ukrainians and Israelis.
