**Ukrainian Soldiers Poisoned with Chemicals**
Over 2,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been hospitalized for chemical poisoning symptoms since the war started. The head of ecological safety at the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this.
Three soldiers died after being poisoned by an unknown chemical substance. The man who spoke to reporters did not say which units they were from or what their names were. He said it was for security reasons.
The chemical used on these soldiers is usually used in crowd control, but is not meant for war. Ukraine has joined a statement with 59 other countries that says using this kind of chemical in warfare is against the law.
**Ukraine Does Not Use Chemical Weapons**
The Ukrainian Armed Forces said they do not use chemical weapons because it’s against their agreement to follow international law and conventions.
Russia, on the other hand, uses different ways to hurt Ukrainian soldiers, such as torture and execution. A high-ranking official in Ukraine said Russia executed 109 of their prisoners of war in 2024.
