Protests Needed to Oust Regime, Says Vashadze
Giorgi Vashadze, a leader of the “Unity – National Movement“, says that police should support protesters and break away from the current government. He believes that the regime’s treatment of its own people is unacceptable.
According to Vashadze, what the government is doing is an insult to the Georgian people. He claims that the government has brought chaos instead of peace. To fix this, Vashadze says that new elections and the release of political prisoners are necessary.
Vashadze also believes that it’s time for police to take a stand against the regime. He thinks that they should support protesters and distance themselves from the current government. This would be a key step in dismantling the system and bringing about change, Vashadze says.
