Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze spoke about the country’s new president, Mikheil Kavelashvili.
Kobakhidze said that under Kavelashvili’s leadership, the presidency will return to its normal role and regain respect. He congratulated Kavelashvili on being elected President of Georgia.
The Prime Minister believes that Kavelashvili’s election is important for strengthening Georgia’s independence and statehood. Kobakhidze thinks that Kavelashvili can also help reduce division in the country and make people work together more effectively.
Kobakhidze said that, over the years, external forces have used the president to divide society and weaken the constitution. He hopes that Kavelashvili’s presidency will change this situation for the better.
