**Ukraine to Send Food Supplies to Syria**
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ordered the government to set up delivery systems. This is because Ukraine plans to send food supplies, including grain, to Syria.
The reason for this decision is that Russia’s wheat supply to Syria has been stopped due to uncertainty and payment delays. This could lead to a humanitarian crisis in Syria if President Bashar al-Assad’s regime falls.
Ukraine is an important country for exporting grains. It was the world’s fourth-largest grain exporter before 2022. The country exports wheat, corn, barley, and sunflower oil to many countries in the Middle East.
This initiative will help prevent a food shortage in Syria when President Assad’s regime falls.
