**Ukraine Fends Off Massive Russian Drone Attack**
Last night, Ukraine’s Air Force successfully defended against a massive Russian drone attack. Russia launched 108 drones, including the Shahed-type UAVs, and an S-300 anti-aircraft missile from areas in Russia.
Despite the large number of drones, none of them reached their targets. However, debris from the drones injured two people in Mykolaiv. A separate strike on Kharkiv also injured one civilian.
**Ukrainian Air Defenses Proved Effective**
According to Ukraine’s Air Force, defense forces shot down 56 attack drones across various regions. Another 49 drones were “locationally lost,” which means they disappeared from radar and possibly crashed. Three drones even returned to Russia.
**Civilian Injuries Reported in Mykolaiv and Kharkiv**
In Mykolaiv, two workers were injured when a Shahed drone struck an infrastructure facility. In Kharkiv, one person was injured after explosions were heard in the city’s Kyivskyi district.
**Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Also Targeted**
The head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration reported that air defenses intercepted three Russian Shahed drones. The drone debris damaged two houses, a car, a gas pipeline, and power lines in Dnipro district, but no casualties were reported.
