The European Union’s (EU) mission, called EUMAM, has been extended two more years. The goal is to train 75,000 soldiers by the end of winter /2025.

**Training Locations and Focus**

Most of the training happens in Poland and Germany. Courses cover many areas of military skills, like leadership and work. Ukraine wants its military to be prepared for a “just peace”.

**New Partnerships**

The Minister of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, is talking with other European countries about preparing special brigades. These brigades will have the best equipment and training.

**Using Frozen Russian Assets**

Ukraine plans to use money from frozen Russian assets to its military. This includes helping the EU’s training mission for Ukrainian troops.

**Key Areas of Focus**

The Defense Minister has three main goals:

* To get help from the EU in preparing special reserve brigades
* To increase the number of Ukrainians trained by the EUMAM mission
* To invest in Ukraine’s own defense industry to make more equipment and supplies at home
