EU Foreign Ministers to Discuss Georgia Tomorrow
The European Union’s foreign ministers will meet tomorrow in Brussels, Belgium. The meeting starts at 10:00 AM local time on December 16.
This is the first time that Josep Borrell, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, will chair this meeting.
At the meeting, EU foreign ministers will discuss several issues, including Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. They will also review the situation in the Middle East, with a focus on Syria and Lebanon.
The issue of Georgia is expected to be discussed at the meeting as well. This comes after EU spokesperson Anita Hipper said on December 10 that the EU might take “additional measures” regarding Georgia. The EU has expressed solidarity with the people of Georgia and their desire for democracy and European integration.
