**Georgia’s Leader Speaks Out Against Sanctions**
Kakha Kaladze, Secretary General of the Georgian Dream, has responded to sanctions imposed by Baltic countries on representatives of the Georgian government. Kaladze said these external forces are angry and irritated because they were defeated in Georgia.
He believes that when talking about sanctions, there should be an explanation. “Why?” he asked. “Because we’re protecting our country’s interests and people.” Kaladze accused these forces of blackmailing Georgia as it seeks to integrate with Europe.
The majority of Georgians, over 1.2 million people, voted against evil, injustice, and lies in the previous elections. Now, these external forces are trying to blackmail Georgia on its path to European integration. They’ve used this tactic before, Kaladze said, first by objecting to candidate status and now by threatening not to open negotiations.
Kaladze stated that this behavior is unacceptable. “We’re a small country,” he said, “but we have a great culture, proud traditions, and a rich past.” He promised that Georgia will not be blackmailed.
