**Russian Forces Use North Korean Troops in Ukraine**
Russia has deployed over 10,000 North Korean soldiers to help its own forces fight against Ukrainian troops. The soldiers are being used in battles in the Kursk Oblast region.
**Clashes on the Ground**
There have been clashes between North Korean and Ukrainian forces since November. Last weekend, Russia also started using the North Korean troops in ground attacks. Ukraine’s military intelligence agency said that 30 North Korean soldiers were killed or hurt during these attacks on December 14-15.
**Ukraine Uncertain About Casualties**
The full number of casualties among the North Korean soldiers is hard to know because President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russia is trying to hide the information. However, a Pentagon spokesperson confirmed that the North Koreans had been fighting alongside Russian troops in Kursk Oblast and suffered their first casualties on December 16.
**Drone Footage Released**
The Special Operation Forces have released footage of small drones being used to target soldiers and equipment on the battlefield.
