Mikheil Saakashvili Praises President‘s Speech
The former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, has praised the current President Salome Zurabishvili for her speech in the European Parliament.
Saakashvilli thinks that the speech was necessary at a time when it is needed most. He also agrees with the point she made about Georgia choosing to be pro–Western.
Saakashvili wrote on Facebook that he always thought it was a good idea to invite President Zurabishvili to speak in the European Parliament. He believes that her speech highlighted the country‘s decision to follow a pro-Western path, which started after the Rose Revolution in 2003-2012.
Saakashvili thinks that Georgia has made great progress on this path and will continue to do so.
