The US has said it will allow Ukraine to attack deep within Russian territory. In response, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin changed the country’s nuclear doctrine. Now, Russia might use nukes if they feel threatened by any country, even if that country is allied with NATO.
Healey says this doesn’t intimidate him or Western leaders. He believes Russia’s threats will not stop the West from supporting Ukraine.
**UK Imposes New Sanctions on Russia**
The UK recently imposed new sanctions on a man who bought over $300 million worth of Russian gold. This money goes to the Russian government, which helps fund their war efforts. The UK wants to combat money laundering and help Ukraine by stopping this illicit trade.
Healey is confident that Russia’s leader, Vladimir Putin, will not win, no matter how long it takes. He says the West must work together to make Ukraine stronger and put pressure on Putin.
