**Georgia’s Foreign Trade Sees Growth in 2024**
In the first eleven months of 2024, Georgia’s foreign trade increased by 6.6% compared to the same period last year. The total value of trade was USD 21.113 billion.
**Exports and Imports Increase**
During this time, Georgia’s exports rose by 7.9% to USD 6.011 billion, while imports grew by 6.1% to USD 15.102 billion. As a result, the country‘s trade balance remained in deficit, totaling USD 9.091 billion.
**Major Trade Partners**
Georgia’s largest trading partner was Turkey, with a total trade volume of USD 2.939 billion. Russia followed with USD 2.269 billion, while the United States and China trailed behind with USD 1.966 billion and USD 1.767 billion respectively.
**Exports to Neighboring Countries**
Most of Georgia’s exports went to Kyrgyzstan (USD 1.166 billion), Kazakhstan (USD 795 million), Azerbaijan (USD 664 million), Russia (USD 634 million), and Armenia (USD 564 million).
**Major Imports**
The majority of imports came from Turkey, with a total value of USD 2.501 billion. The United States and Russia were also major suppliers, followed by China and Germany.
**Top Exported Commodities**
Georgia’s largest exports were motor cars (USD 2.219 billion), ferro-alloys (USD 317 million), spirituous beverages (USD 270 million), wine of fresh grapes (USD 262 million), and precious metal ores and concentrates (USD 213 million).
**Major Imports**
The country’s major imports included motor cars (USD 3.082 billion), petroleum and petroleum oils (USD 1.185 billion), medicaments put up in measured doses (USD 563 million), and other commodities (USD 8.708 billion).
