Russian Attack on Kherson: 2 Dead, Dozens of Buildings Damaged
On December 20, Russian forces attacked the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine. The attack started at around 5:00 a.m. and lasted for about an hour.
Two people were killed and eleven others were injured in the attack. Many buildings across multiple districts were damaged. This is not the first time Kherson has been targeted by Russian forces.
Some areas of Kherson are still under Russian control, even though the city was largely liberated last year. The surrounding regions have been hit with near-daily shelling since then.
The State Emergency Service of Kherson Oblast reported that conventional artillery and rocket systems were used in the attack. Many residential areas, schools, kindergartens, and medical facilities were targeted and damaged.
