**Latvia Bans 13 Georgian from Entering the Country**

On December 20, Latvia announced that it had added 13 Georgian citizens to its “persona non grata” list. This means they are not allowed to enter the country.

The Latvian Foreign , Baiba Braze, made the announcement. She said the decision was made under law that allows for people to be banned from entering Latvia for an indefinite period of time.

**Restrictions Imposed on Georgian Officials**

This is not the first time Latvia has imposed restrictions on Georgian officials. December 2024, the country, along with and Lithuania, banned Bidzina Ivanishvili, a key figure in Georgia’s ruling party, and several other senior officials from entering their countries.

**International Pressure**
