Georgia’ National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement Faces EQAR Decision

Lasha Margishvili, the Acting Director of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, spoke about their plans appeal a decision by the Association for in Higher Education (EQAR).

The center will file an appeal within 20 days. This will be reviewed by international partners within 60 days. If the appellate does not agree with their arguments, they will ask EQAR to evaluate them again.

Most of the recommendations from EQAR and ENQA have been addressed. However, some issues still need to be resolved. The center is working these problems and hopes to restore its EQAR registration soon.

It’s worth noting that the suspension of EQAR registration does not affect the recognition of qualifications or diplomas issued in . It also does not impact the quality assurance of medical education. The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement has been a member of the Federation for Medical Education since 2018 and obtained this before joining ENQA and EQAR.
