**Fire Destroys Russian Drone Warehouse**
A big fire broke out at a warehouse in Russia‘s Tatarstan region on December 23. The warehouse stored parts for making Shahed drones, which are used by the Russian military.
The Alabuga Special Economic Zone is where the Yelabuga drone factory is located. This factory makes Shahed-type drones and other types of drones like Albatross reconnaissance drones.
According to Ukraine‘s military intelligence agency (HUR), the warehouse stored parts worth $16 million, including 65 drone attack fuselages, engines, navigation systems, and thermal imaging cameras. All of these parts were destroyed in the fire.
The HUR agency did not say who caused the fire, but it hinted at Ukrainian involvement in similar incidents before. Ukraine has previously carried out sabotage operations against Russia during the war.
Local authorities did not report any fire in the Alabuga zone on December 23.
**Russian Drone Factory Hit Before**
This is not the first time a Russian drone factory was hit by Ukrainian drones. In April, Ukrainian long-range drones struck the Yelabuga facility.
Russia regularly uses Shahed drones and its domestic-made variants like Geran to attack Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.
