President of the International Republican Institute (IRI) Speaks Out.
The head of the IRI, Daniel Twining, says that holding new elections is the only way to regain trust in Georgia‘s government. He calls the recent parliamentary election a “sad chapter” for the country.
Twining believes that the election was not fair and did not meet citizens’ expectations. As a result, many people do not believe their government is working in their best interest.
He thinks that holding new elections will help restore confidence in the government.
