**Former Odesa Official Arrested Again**
Yevhen Borysov, a former head of Odesa Oblast’s military enlistment office, was arrested again in Kyiv on December 25. This time, he had already been released from detention after posting bail.
According to the State Investigation Bureau, Borysov planned to hide and flee abroad after his release. He was previously charged with illicit enrichment and violating military service regulations in July 2023.
The bureau has now added new charges against Borysov, including forging documents to show he had sustained a combat injury. This resulted in him being paid additional compensation from April to June 2022.
**Properties Transferred**
As part of the ongoing investigation, two properties in Marbella, Spain have been transferred to the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA). The properties are valued at €4 million and €510,000 and are registered to Borysov’s mother and wife.
An investigation by Ukrainska Pravda in June 2023 looked into the property acquired by Borysov’s family. He initially denied any involvement.
