Russian Governor Claims Ukrainian Drone Struck Fuel Depot in Belgorod Oblast

According regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on Telegram, a attacked a fuel storage facility near the town of Volokonovka in Russia’ Oblast, causing a fire at the fuel tanks on Sept. 8. Photos and videos shared by Telegram channels around 6 p.. show a large fire and smoke in Belgorod Oblast. This comes after reports on Sept. 1 of dozens of drones targeting various Russian regions overnight, including Moscow, Tver, Voronezh, Tula, , , Belgorod, Lipetsk, and Kursk, according to local officials.

In Belgorod Oblast, it was reported that 14 drones were shot down and several houses, cars, and commercial properties were damaged while repelling the aerial attack, according to Gladkov.
