**Ukrainian Forces Capture North Korean Soldier in Russia**
A Ukrainian soldier was captured by Special Operations Forces (SOF) in the Kursk Oblast of Russia. This is the first time a North Korean soldier has been confirmed to be fighting against Ukraine.
The operation took place on December 26. A photo of the captured soldier was shared by a Ukrainian military source. The soldier was reportedly taken prisoner by Ukrainian forces, as seen in photos circulating online.
**Reports of North Korean Involvement**
This is not the first time there have been reports of North Korean soldiers fighting against Ukraine. On December 14, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that North Korean soldiers were present in Russia’s Kursk Oblast. Ukrainian intelligence had previously revealed that North Korean troops were placed on high alert on December 13.
**Ukrainian Forces Seize Russian Equipment**
In addition to capturing the North Korean soldier, Ukrainian forces also seized a Russian BTR-82 armored personnel carrier, as well as weapons and documents. This operation is a significant development in the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
