**Russia’s Losses in Ukraine**
Russia has lost a large number of troops and military equipment since its invasion of Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russia has suffered 782,510 troop casualties.
This includes 1,650 Russian soldiers killed or injured over just the past day. The total number of losses is expected to be much higher.
**Russia’s Military Equipment Losses**
The Ukrainian Armed Forces also reported that Russia has lost a significant amount of military equipment in Ukraine. This includes:
* Tanks: 9,644
* Armored fighting vehicles: 19,951
* Vehicles and fuel tanks: 32,262
* Artillery systems: 21,379
* Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,256
* Air defense systems: 1,032
* Planes: 369
* Helicopters: 329
* Drones: 20,999
* Ships and boats: 28
* Submarine: 1
