French Minister for European Affairs Speaks Out Against Georgian Government’s Actions.
The French government has condemned the actions of Georgia’s ruling party, Georgian Dream. They have threatened to arrest President Salome Zurabishvili.
This is unacceptable and goes against everything that Europe stands for, said Benjamin Haddad, French Minister for European Affairs. He made his comments on social media.
Haddad also called for an end to violence against protesters in Georgia. The Georgian Dream’s actions are not democratic, he said.
France supports the people of Georgia who want a more democratic and European-style government, Haddad stated.
