**Ukraine Hits Russian Drone Repair Point**
Ukraine has attacked a place where Russia stores and fixes its Shahed drones. The attack killed two Russians and hurt seven more.
Russia uses the Iranian-designed Shahed drones to bomb Ukrainian cities and buildings every day.
**Missiles Hit Another Russian Facility**
On December 26, Ukraine launched three Storm Shadow missiles at a Russian military base in Oryol Oblast. The strike happened around 3:40 pm local time. The facility was located between two villages.
The Storm Shadow missile is a long-range air-launched cruise missile made by the UK and France. Initially, Ukraine could only use long-range missiles against targets within its own borders or in occupied regions to avoid escalating with Russia. However, on November 16, 2024, Western allies allowed Ukraine to use long-range missiles against Russian targets.
**Ukrainian General Staff Confirms Operation**
Ukraine’s Air Force, working with other Defense Forces units, targeted a “storage, maintenance and repair point for Shahed kamikaze drones.” The facility had several reinforced concrete shelters. The Ukrainian General Staff said the operation reduced Russia’s ability to conduct air strikes using kamikaze drones against Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.
**Russia Has Not Commented**
The regional governor acknowledged a missile threat, but no official statement was made about the attack’s consequences. The wounded servicemen were taken to the central district hospital. The Russian Defense Ministry has not commented on the incident.
