**Ukraine Builds Underground Schools for Safe Learning**
The Ukrainian government is building underground schools to protect children from the ongoing war and Russian missile strikes. Deputy Education Minister Nadiia Kuzmychova announced that 79 of these schools are currently under construction in frontline and border areas.
These underground schools are a response to the growing threats posed by Russia‘s military actions. The first city to open an underground school was Kharkiv. This innovative approach aims to provide safe educational environments for children.
In total, over 139 underground schools and dozens of vocational education facilities are being built across Ukraine.
