Students in Belgrade Plan New Year‘s Protest
Students who were involved in a blockade are planning a big protest on December 31. They want to show that there is no reason to celebrate in the country until justice is served.
The protest will start at Pionirski Park between 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM. Then, a march will begin from the park to Student Square. Students plan to spend the New Year’s celebration in silence.
At 11:52 PM, there will be 15 minutes of silence on Student Square. This is to remember the 15 people who died when a canopy collapsed in Novi Sad on November 1. After that, students will perform at the square.
