**Serbian Opposition Party Merges with Democratic Party**
The Democratic Party (DS) and the Together party have merged, making Together a part of DS. This means that all Together members are now also members of the DS.
The leaders of both parties said they want to bring change to Serbia by promoting democratic values and fair elections. They believe this merger will help people in Serbia see what real democracy looks like.
DS leader Srdjan Milivojevic said, “We showed that honest elections are possible.” He wants other groups and politicians to join the DS as a way to oppose the current government.
Together co–president Nebojsa Zelenovic said the DS has a special place in Serbian history. It helped bring freedom to Serbia by establishing important laws and institutions. The merger, he believes, will help restore that progress.
Another Together leader, Biljana Stojkovic, hopes the merged party will be a place where intellectuals can come together and work towards positive change.
