Russia Continues to Hit Ukraine’s Power Grid.
Germany’s top diplomat says Russia is trying to destroy Ukraine as a state. German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Russia is using brutal force, especially against Ukraine’s energy sector. This shows that Russian leader Vladimir Putin wants to completely destroy Ukraine.
Russia has tried many times since 2022 to stop Ukraine from getting electricity. They also want to make it hard for civilians and the military by not giving them power, water, and heat. Baerbock said she believes Germany will keep supporting Ukraine strongly after the next government is elected on February 23. The US gives more aid than anyone else.
Germany has been helping Ukraine a lot since Russia started its war in 2021. They are now Ukraine’s second-biggest helper after the US.
