**Opposition Councilors Blocked from Entering City Hall**
A group of men in plain clothes blocked opposition councilors from entering the Novi Sad City Assembly on Monday. Only one of them had an ID card.
The councilors wanted to access the main hall for a meeting, but were stopped by the group. This happened just before a planned meeting to adopt the city’s budget was postponed for the third time.
As a result, the city has to go to temporary financing. Students gathered in front of the building to protest against the situation.
An opposition councilor told N1 that the assembly secretary said they were finished and could leave. However, councilors have the right to be in the building as long as they like.
The Novi Sad City Assembly has its own security team.
