**Georgia’s President Responds to US Senator**
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, has replied to a tweet from American Senator Jeanne Shaheen. Senator Shaheen had said she would continue to support the people of Georgia.
In her response, President Zurabishvili agreed that free and fair elections are the key to achieving certain goals. She tweeted: “Thank you Senator for your constant support. We will achieve this aim, and will achieve it through free and fair elections.”

Senator Shaheen had earlier said she would continue to stand with the people of Georgia as they demand a democratic government that represents their will. She mentioned that Georgians have repeatedly rejected autocracy and are fighting for a free and democratic future.
