**Ukraine Destroys Russian Helicopters with Sea Drones**
Two Russian helicopters were destroyed in a recent attack by Ukraine’s naval strike drones, known as Magura V5. This was reported by Ukraine’s military intelligence agency (HUR) on their Telegram channel.
The HUR earlier announced that one of its units had downed an aerial target using the Magura drone for the first time, destroying one Russian helicopter and damaging another. However, in a new update, they claim that two helicopters were destroyed and one damaged in the attack. Russian propaganda channels have confirmed the loss of two helicopters.
**Ukraine’s Sea Drones Prove Effective**
The Magura drone has been effective in helping Ukraine push back against Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. The drone can cover over 800 kilometers (500 miles) at a speed of 80 km/h (50 mph). It is capable of carrying a warhead of up to 250 kilograms and costs approximately Hr 10 million ($240,000).
In June, the HUR announced that the drones had been modified to operate anti-aircraft missiles. This presents a serious threat to the Russian Air Force over the Black Sea.
