**Russia Loses 793,250 Troops in Ukraine**
The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces has reported a major loss for Russia. Since February 24, 2022, when they began their full-scale invasion, the Russians have lost 793,250 troops.
Just over the past day, Russian forces suffered another 1,080 casualties. This is according to a report released on January 3 by Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
**Heavy Equipment Losses**
In addition to the lives lost, Russia has also suffered significant losses of heavy equipment. The report lists:

* 20,070 armored fighting vehicles
* 32,770 vehicles and fuel tanks
* 21,555 artillery systems
* 1,257 multiple launch rocket systems
* 1,032 air defense systems
* 369 airplanes
* 330 helicopters
* 21,249 drones
* 28 ships and boats
* 1 submarine
