**French-Trained Ukrainian Brigade Probed Over Mismanagement and Desertion Accusations**

The French Ministry declined comment on the investigation, stating that personnel selection and deployment conditions are the responsibility of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They did confirm that they trained a Ukrainian brigade of about 2,000 personnel for combined arms operations in 2024 using French equipment intended for transfer to Ukraine.
