Ukraine Gets New Ammunition for Anti-Aircraft Guns
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has ordered more ammunition for its anti-aircraft guns. The German company Rheinmetall will make 180,000 rounds of special ammunition.
This order was made in December 2024 and is paid for by the German government. The new ammunition is called HEI-T and is very effective against planes and helicopters. It also works well against drones.
Germany gave Ukraine 55 old anti-aircraft guns called Gepards last year. These guns have been used to defend against Russian attacks on Ukraine. They are considered very useful tools for air defense.
The German government has changed its policy of sending military aid to Ukraine. At first, they sent help slowly. Now they are one of the main suppliers of military equipment to Ukraine, after the United States.
