The press service of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade has reported that Ukrainian soldiers successfully defended against a Russian attack on the eastern front in Ukraine. The Russian assault involved a tank and a wheeled armored personnel carrier carrying infantry. The Ukrainian defenders were able to detect the Russian column of armored vehicles thanks to the unmanned aerial vehicle pilots of the 3rd Assault Brigade.
As soon as the movement of the Russian vehicles was detected, the brigade’s units immediately began their destruction. The Ukrainian troops used strike FPV drones to eliminate the Russian invaders, as reported by Militarnyi. The tank was quickly hit from above, while the armored personnel carrier, which attempted to retreat, was pursued and destroyed. The Russian infantry also started to retreat before the final strikes were made.
The 3rd Assault Brigade explained that their drone operators were able to destroy the Russian armored vehicles in a short amount of time. The “War in Ukraine. Equipment Losses” Telegram channel has confirmed that the Russian equipment was destroyed near the village of Karmazynivka in Luhansk Oblast.
The brigade also mentioned that the Russian assault was successfully repelled by the battalion of unmanned systems, FATUM anti-tank fighters, the Revenge group from the 1st Mechanized Battalion, and soldiers from the 1st Assault Battalion.
