**Palestinian Deaths Mount as Israel Strikes Gaza**
Israeli air strikes in southern Gaza overnight killed at least 19 Palestinians, including eight children. A family of six was among those killed, with a mother and her four kids dying in a tent camp in al-Mawasi.
The Israeli military claimed to have targeted Hamas fighters involved in the October 7th attack that sparked the war. However, the Israeli military has not commented on the strikes yet.
**Heavy Toll in Gaza**
Hamas’ health ministry reported 51 deaths in Gaza over the past 24 hours. The Palestinian health ministry warned of a fuel shortage, saying hospital generators could stop working soon and putting hundreds of patients at risk.
Meanwhile, indirect negotiations on a ceasefire agreement continued in Qatar. US officials are mediating between Qatari, Egyptian, and American teams to secure a deal.
**Hostage Crisis**
The crisis over hostages held by Hamas continues to escalate. The group has accused Israel of blocking progress toward a deal. Trump has threatened to unleash “all hell” if the hostages are not released before he assumes office on January 20th.
Hamas still holds around 100 hostages, and more than 45,000 people have died in Gaza since October 7th, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
