Greenland is a Danish territory with American and Danish military bases, as well as rich mineral resources. Danish said that Greenland was “not for sale” and its future belonged to the people of Greenland.

Other European leaders also spoke out against Trump’s comments. German Olaf and EU chief diplomat defended the territorial integrity of Greenland. Peskov criticized their response, saying it was too timid.
