**Memorials Desecrated in Kosovo Village**
A disturbing incident occurred on Thursday evening in the village of Gorazdevac, Kosovo. Two unidentified individuals desecrated memorials dedicated to local residents who were killed during the 1999 NATO aggression and to children murdered in a 2003 terrorist attack.
The Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija reported that the perpetrators entered a fenced area around the memorials and removed the Serbian flag. This act of vandalism has been met with strong condemnation from the Office, which called it an attempt to intimidate Serbs living in Kosovo.
The Office also stressed that the political agenda of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti‘s regime encourages extremism, leading to anti–Serb activities. This further complicates the situation for Serbs living in Kosovo, who have been facing harsh conditions for decades.
