**Georgian Citizen Killed in Ukraine**
Kakha Tilidze, a Georgian citizen living in the US, was killed in fighting in Ukraine. The Georgian Foreign Ministry confirmed his death on January 12.
Tilidze had joined the fight in Ukraine and shared videos from the front lines on social media. He took part in active combat in the Kharkiv region in August 2024.
**Third Death This Year**
This is the third death of a Georgian citizen in Ukraine this year. The number of Georgians killed in the conflict has risen to 63 since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
