Germany Supports Georgian Opposition
The leader of Strategy Aghmashenebeli, Giorgi Vashadze, met with the Chairman of Germany’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Michael Roth. After their meeting, Vashadze said that Germany is giving unprecedented support to the opposition.
According to Vashadze, German leaders want to see more protests and unity from Georgians. They are even taking action on their own without waiting for other international groups like Brussels. This includes putting restrictions on visas for nine people who were recently sanctioned.
Vashadze believes that this support will lead to big changes in Georgia. He thinks that the opposition will be able to get more done and that new working formats between political parties will help achieve their goals.
