**Attack on Giorgi Gakharia Sparks Outrage**
The leader of the opposition coalition “Strong Georgia”, Mamuka Khazaradze, has condemned the attack on Giorgi Gakharia. The politician was attacked at a hotel in Batumi last night.
Khazaradze said that all perpetrators will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. He compared the government‘s actions to those of a “criminal Russian government”. This suggests that Khazaradze believes the Georgian government is acting unfairly and brutally, like Russia.
**Gakharia Attacked at Hotel**
Giorgi Gakharia was attacked while staying at the Sheraton hotel in Batumi. The politician has suffered injuries including a fractured nasal bone and concussion. He has been taken to a clinic for treatment.
The same hotel saw another confrontation between Zviad Koridze, a representative of the non-governmental sector, and Dimitri Samkharadze, a representative of the Georgian Dream. According to Koridze, he was confronted by Samkharadze’s entourage.
