**Professor Supports Student Protests on State TV**
A professor from Belgrade University appeared on Serbian state TV (RTS) and surprised everyone by saying he was going back to his college to support protesting students.
The students have been taking over their colleges in a blockade protest. They are demanding accountability for the deaths of 15 people who were killed when a concrete awning collapsed at Novi Sad Railway Station last November.
Professor Stanislav Milosevic was on RTS to talk about different calendars used around the world, including the Julian calendar used by the Serbian Orthodox Church. But instead of discussing calendars, he showed his support for the students.
“I’m going back to the faculty to support the blockades,” he said.
This is not the first time that guests on RTS have spoken out in support of the protests. In one instance, a group of people on a talk show hinted that the authorities were trying to distract from the real issue and the show was stopped immediately.
