**Georgian and Attacked**

Giorgi Gakharia, the leader of the , was physically assaulted on 15 at a hotel Batumi. He suffered a broken nose and concussion. The attack is believed to have been orchestrated by Ivanishvili’s regime.

**Multiple Incidents**

There were two separate incidents that night. Zviad Koridze, a journalist and member of Transparency International (TI)-Georgia, was also attacked at the same hotel. He was hospitalized with an eye injury.

An investigation has been opened into Gakharia’s case under Article 126 of the Criminal Code for violence. However, it is not yet known whether an investigation will be opened in Koridze’s case.

**Reactions**

Public Defender Levan Ioseliani condemned the attacks and called on authorities to investigate immediately. also condemned the attack, calling it “absolutely unbelievable” and “unacceptable”. The ambassador to Georgia described the situation as a “sad day in Georgia”.
