**Opposition Party Demands Justice After Leader’s Attack**
Natia Mezvrishvili, a member of the opposition party “For Georgia,” has filed a motion with the Adjara Prosecutor’s Office. The motion demands that the perpetrators of an attack on the party leader, Giorgi Gakharia, be identified and arrested.
Gakharia was attacked at a hotel in Batumi last night. He suffered injuries including a fractured nasal bone and concussion. After being taken to a clinic, he was later discharged from hospital.
Mezvrishvili wrote on social media that the motion includes demands for the identification of all perpetrators and the individual who gave the order to commit the crime. She also called for the arrest procedure to be initiated against those accused.
The attack on Gakharia is just one incident in a series of confrontations at the same hotel. Zviad Koridze, an NGO representative, was involved in a confrontation with Dimitri Samkharadze and his associates from the “Georgian Dream” party.
**Mezvrishvili Demands Action**
“We submitted a motion to the Adjara Prosecutor’s Office with specific demands,” Mezvrishvili said. “The Prosecutor’s Office must urgently take over the case and prevent the destruction of evidence.”
