**Opposition Politician Attacked in Batumi**
A confrontation happened at the Sheraton Hotel in Batumi. Giorgi Gakharia, leader of “Gakharia for Georgia,” was attacked. He was taken to the hospital but later left.
**What Happened**
Gakharia was hurt in a physical fight with some people. One of them is thought to be MP Dmitri Samkharaadze from the party “Georgian Dream.” Gakharia suffered a broken nose and a head injury.
**Politician’s Comments**
MP Guram Macharashvili said that Gakharia will face consequences for his actions. He called Gakharia a “nonentity” who was created by the “Georgian Dream” party. Macharashvili said that Gakharia has betrayed the government and the country.
**Other Incident**
Another confrontation happened at the same hotel with Zviad Khoridze, a representative of the non–governmental sector. He was confronted by Dmitri Samkharaadze and his associates.
